Bear Bulletin

Looking at the Next Phase

A Message from Mrs. Venghaus

Bear Branch Family,

What a week it has been. I hope you and your loved ones were all cool, dry, and east of the storm. We sure missed seeing our 7th graders!

We have one week left of Online School with Small Group Instruction before we move into the next phase of On-Campus Learning and Virtual School which will begin September 8th.

  • On-Campus Learning students will continue follow their original schedule on campus at Bear Branch Junior High five days a week
  • Virtual School students will receive a new schedule that will begin September 8th continuing classes on Canvas at home

Our counselors are working diligently on virtual classes to get student schedules put together and ready for September 8th. Please see more information below for Virtual School. We believe we have a solid list of students who have chosen On-Campus Learning or Virtual School. If for any reason you change your mind between now and next Friday, please reach out to the counselor as it will factor into the student's schedule.

Proud to be your student's principal,

Julia

7th Grade Immunizations Information - One Week Left

Although the first few weeks of school will be conducted online, incoming 7th grade students will still be required to meet the state's two immunization requirements, Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4). The deadline for shot records to be turned in is Friday, September 4th.

Three options to turn in shot records:

- Turn records in to the front office at BBJH

- Email records to our nurse, Kari Haynes, at khaynes@magnoliaisd.org

- Fax records to (281) 252-2060

Any student without an updated shot record on file by September 4th will not be permitted to attend class in person or online until official documentation is submitted to the school.
