A Message From The Principal

Dear Families,

I love this time of year! Not only do we get to see all of the beautiful changes that Spring brings, this is the time when students really begin to show us how much they have grown and changed.

As you already know, they are writing their names, beginning to identify environmental print (the writing on familiar packages, restaurant names and other similar writing they see everyday). They are eager to tell about their day and connect the content they learn to what they see at home.

Students are finishing up their units on animals and will complete the year learning about changes around them. I encourage you to spend time each day asking your child to tell you about their day. You can ask them about who they played with, who helped them, what the liked or disliked about the day and other similar questions. The key is to ask questions that go beyond yes or no answers.

Don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher to learn more about their school day. The teachers and staff would love to talk with you about your child.

Sincerely,

Nikki Murphy

Principal

Arrival and Dismissal

Arrival

Our doors open each day at 7:15.

Breakfast service in the cafeteria begins at 7:15. Students need to be here by 7:40 to ensure they receive breakfast.

Students arriving after 7:40 are considered late and must be signed in at the front office.

Dismissal

Dismissal is at 3:20 each day. Please note that we begin the dismissal processes at 2:30 and our office closes to visitors from 2:30-3:45. For this reason, students that must leaver early for appointments must be picked up before 2:30. This process allows us to secure the building and ensure student safety.

Big picture

Don't Get a Ticket/Parent Parking Guidance

Parents,

To avoid receiving a citation from Temple PD, please do not park in front of the parking spaces of the apartments across from the front of the school. Residents are having difficulty parking in their assigned spots at arrival and dismissal.

Additional parking for parents is available by the school gym.
