Wolfpack Weekly - Parent Newsletter
August 20 , 2021
Dear LGAM Families,
It is with great pride and excitement that I return to Lemon Grove Academy Middle School as your Principal. I would like to officially begin our school year and welcome you once again to an exciting opportunity to join our unique Wolfpack experience here at LGAM. I look forward to collaborating with families to ensure all children are celebrated and supported. Together, we will ensure that we maintain our tradition of excellence and community that makes our school such a special place. I believe that the strength of the Lemon Grove School Academy Middle lies in the collective talents of an exceptionally dedicated faculty and staff.
As parents, you have a very important role in your child's academic success. We all know the classroom teacher's role in the successful education of children, however anyone who has worked in a public school knows that parents, volunteers, office support staff, nutrition staff, teacher assistants, custodians, and even bus drivers also play vitally important roles in creating a school environment that is welcoming, inclusive, safe and conducive to student learning. TOGETHER we will make this year one of the best our students have had.
We are aware that our students that we have this year are going to be different from the kids who normally enter our classrooms. Their development path has changed because of the pandemic — but this can be a good thing because we have an opportunity to reshape how we "DO" education. My staff and I look forward to working with our families to ensure all students are smoothly reacclimated into in-person school routines. This will take lots of compassion and patience from all of us. I have no doubt we are up for the task.
Respectfully,
Tamara Muhammad, Principal
