Unselfishness is the quality of putting the needs of the many ahead of the needs of the few. It is being able to share in all ways, whether it be material, verbal, or emotional (i.e. resources, congratulatory responses, and criticism).

Robin Hood exemplifies an unselfish quality as he "steals from the rich and gives to the poor." His basic life goal is to set fairer moral and financial grounds in order for all to live their lives. He leads a group of men and never keeps more for himself, it is all shared equally.
