A Note From Ms. Hill

Dear Starr Families:

It's hard to believe that we are entering September already! Starr Coyotes are doing a great job learning expectations and getting the year started off on a positive note.

This is an exciting week at Starr Elementary, as it is our first Red Wagon Week of the school year. All students who have zero office referrals for the week and a ClassDojo average of ninety percent or higher will be able to choose an item from the Red Wagon on Friday. The Red Wagon is filled with incentives and experiences, all sponsored by the Stamm Koechlein Family Foundation.

Thanks to Primex, Starr Elementary has its very one greenhouse. All students will be able to grow plants in the greenhouse this year. One of our goals for the greenhouse is to grow flowers to share with our community. Please join us on Wednesday, September 1st at 2:15p.m. as we have an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the greenhouse. Starr's fourth grade classrooms will be participating in the ceremony.

Starr is excited to offer a new after school club for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students. Tom Broyles, owner of Firehouse BBQ & Blues, has partnered with Starr to create a Running Club. Students must turn in a permission slip to participate. The Running Club schedule can be found HERE.
