Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Stars of the Week:

Students:


  • Mr Cox has nominated 7TE for their exceptional work and excellent attitude in Science, in particular James and Niav for their work on cells.
  • Miss Fenner has nominated David 9S for his positive attitude and helpfulness in English. Miss Fenner has also nominated Bronwyn 10T and Alex 10C for excellent creative writing.
  • Mr McRae-Smith has nominated 7TE, 7ST and 7SW for a really positive and engaged start to their German lessons at CTS. He has also nominated Nina 10T for working really hard to catch up with German after switching options in term 5 last year.
  • Miss Longhurst has nominated Musa 10C for great mock exam questions in History.
  • Miss Benson has nominated Nick 10S and Tia and Taylor 10T for excellent exam questions and determination and exam technique improvement.
  • Mr Cox has nominated Abigail 9C and Tyler 9S for excellent characterisation in Drama this week.
  • Our Science team have nominated Frederico and Kai 11S and Cameron, Stephen M and Alexandra 11T for excellent test results in Biology.
  • Miss Connellan has nominated Ashleigh 10C, Tamzin 10S and Daniela 11C for excellent work in English.
  • Mr Lee has nominated Finlaye and Luke 9S, Mason and Lewis 9C and Halle and Grace 9T for a fantastic start to Year 9 maths – working extremely hard in every lesson.
  • Miss Feeley has nominated 9C for excellent effort in PE.


Staff:


  • 8X STEM group have nominated Mrs Lowe for bringing board games into school for the board game project.

Celebration of Student Work

Reminders:

  • We will hold Open Evenings for current Year 6 students on Thursday 21st September and Tuesday 26th September with sessions at 5.30pm and 7.00pm. No appointments are necessary.
  • McMillan Coffee Morning will take place on Friday 29th September. All cake donations will be welcome.
