A Monthly Update for Meadow Ridge Families
Principal's Message - April 2021
I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break, whether it was chock full of adventure or simply a welcome time to disconnect from typical routines. One thing is certain: we have certainly turned the corner to a full-fledged spring....and I could not be any happier about this transition to sunnier skies and brighter outlooks!
With the notion of transitions in mind, the time of year in which we start planning for the upcoming school year is now upon us. As such, my time at Meadow Ridge will be drawing to a close in just a couple of months. This is a very bittersweet time for me; on one hand, wrapping up my time here and Mr. Backman's return both mean that things are starting to get back to "normal." On the other hand, I have so thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Jaguar family in these crazy times. There have been many challenges in my role this year, to be sure....but the smiles, positive experiences, and utter joy I have experienced have all far outnumbered those challenges.
As I get ready to hand the proverbial keys back over to Chris Backman on June 25th, I am filled with gratitude for the time I have shared with the students, staff, and families of Meadow Ridge. I am also committed to making my remaining time here as positive and fruitful as possible for staff and students alike. We will finish strong and be PAWSOME in all we do this spring!
As always, thank you for taking time to read through this newsletter. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Robin Placzek
Meadow Ridge Principal

Happy Friday, Jaguars!
Spring is here and our students are growing by leaps and bounds! Academically, emotionally, and socially, I have seen huge progress this year, which is especially impressive given the challenges we have all endured with COVID-19. While 2020/2021 will be forever etched in our minds as a trying school year, I love how we have found our way together. I couldn't be prouder of Meadow Ridge. Our staff, students, parents, and Principal Robin Placzek have made this year beautiful.
As you prepare for summer days, grade level advancement, and the re-opening of past activities, life can feel exciting and sometimes overwhelming. Please let me know if you need anything (debbie.wiechert@mead354.org). In the meantime, stay kind, be brave, and remember...we can do hard things.
