THE LION'S ROAR!

October 11, 2022

A Message from our Pride Leader

Hello Norris Lions!

I hope that the first quarter of the school year has been exciting, fun, and most importantly, full of learning! I have so enjoyed getting to know your students, and many of your families so far this year, and look forward to all of the fun that the rest of the year will bring!

As a reminder, there is no school for students on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. Our teachers will be hard at work at parent teacher conferences, professional development, and a work day to finalize report cards and prepare for the 2nd quarter. There is no staff in our school district who works harder than our Norris teachers!

Thank you for all you are doing to partner with teachers and help learning happen in school! We appreciate all that it takes to have your child at school every day, on time, and ready to learn!

Have a wonderful fall break, and we will see you on Monday!

Best,

Mrs. Dolezal, Principal

NORRIS PUMPKIN PATCH

We will be hosting our Annual Norris Pumpkin Patch on October 17-21.

This year rather than just teachers participating in making the pumpkins we are extending this out to our Norris Families! We are asking that each entry represent ONE Norris Family, not each individual student within a family. (EX. If you have 4 children here at Norris, you would only have 1 entry for the contest, not 4). You may make more than 1 pumpkin that ties in with your theme if you would like. Pumpkins can be dropped off on Monday morning, October 17, 2022, between 7:30 - 8:00AM! Participants, please watch your email for further drop-off/set up information.

During the week of October 17-21, teachers and students will be voting for their favorite pumpkin display by placing monetary donations in a collection can in front of each entry. Money raised will go to the United Way.

The pumpkin that receives the most donations will be declared the winner and will receive a gift card prize for a family night!

Please email Miss Knipfer or Mrs. Wees if you have any questions!
