Congrats to our October Teacher of the Month

Student Council is excited to congratulate our October Teacher of the Month, Megan Miller!!

According to her students, Coach Miller deserves to be Teacher of the Month because:

"Miller is an outstanding teacher and coach; she is always there for moral support and we know that we are able to go to her with any problems we have. She’s always lending a helping hand and reaching out to those in need."

"She deserves to be teacher of the month because she is dedicated, caring, a momma bear, has a kind soul, is hard working, gives without needing something in return, a good listener when I need it, she is the shoulder I can cry on or laugh, my success is her success, my failure Is her failure, she brightens my day, she gives amazing advise and help, she is there when I need her and she is there when I feel like no one else is there, she is the person I can come to with anything, she is my tutor when I don’t understand a subject, these are only small things she does, she is literally the best teacher Crockett could have. "

"The teacher I’m nominating deserves to be a teacher of the month because she is a very hard working teacher and coach and also monitors the hallways , over all a good teacher."

"She is slay. On a real note, she does a lot for her students and the basketball program."

"She is genuinely a great person and is very welcoming to any student and will care for you or listen to you at anytime. she is my coach and does so much for our girls basketball team she is constantly giving us words of encouragement and uplifting us to be better. she is constantly doing stuff for her classes of students and as well as her basketball players at the same time. her work ethic is great and she is truly dedicated to teaching and coaching. she is amazing."

Congrats to all of our nominees this month! Check out what students had to say about why they nominated these other awesome teachers:

Ms. Flores because "she has helped me through everything regarding college throughout the last three years. She's always persistent and thorough and she is loved by almost everyone."

Mr. Gannaway because "I'm able to have a whole conversation with him and not feel like I'm talking to a teacher."

Coach Perez because "he's a teacher that can teach but also joke around with the students. his class is a fun environment that welcomes and respects everyone."

Mr. Hare because "he has helped me so much with eveything since COVIS and I can truly be myself around him. He provides a comfortable space where everyone is welcomed"

Ms. Baxley because "she always works so hard in classes trying to teach students even though they sometimes don't listen to her. She teaches students who want to learn to care about their work."

Ms. Ray because "She's really cool and makes syre we all understand and always offers support."

Ms. Robinson because "She is so sweet and amazing and I just love her to bits plus she provides coffee and food for her students!"

Mr. Cater because "he really cares about his students. also his class is very informative and fun."

Ms. Hallee because "she puts up with so much sh*t that she is actually incredible."

Ms. Smith because "She is a nice and fun teacher and rewards us with jolly ranchers."

Mr. Adebayo because "he deserves to be a winner of all teacher nominations because he cares about the students more than he cares for his own well being. He sacrifices sleep, time, and energy to support his students. He has been faced with disrespect and vandalism, in some cases it is very extreme such as the purposeful misuse of a fire extinguisher and hand sanitizer, it he just gets back up to helping the students. The only time I’ve seen he angry was when the students endangered themselves, which just shows how much he cares. He is the best teacher I have ever worked with; he is kind and always makes time for students. He should win."

Mr. Tucker " because he is a very understanding person & is always making sure all of us are doing okay, he also says the most bizarre things in the universe (in good ways of course) & is trying his best, he truly cares not just as a teacher but a person."

Mr. Gurany because "he is making me enjoy physics and really takes time to make sure that everyone in his class knows what’s going on. He’s also a really good coach."

Mr. Healey because "The teacher I am nominating deserves to be teacher of the month because he works hard, is funny, and does a good job working with students to make sure they understand and know the topics learned in math"

Ms. Dolan because "she is very helpful and kind. She makes stuff lots better."

Ms. Ogg because "she's just a good teacher."

Mr. Edwards because " He is a great, organized teacher; not only is he the coolest teacher, but he is a great basketball coach. he is also a stern teacher that cares about our future and makes us get our work done."

Congratulations, again, to Megan Miller and to all of our awesome Crockett teachers!
