A Note From Mrs. Waters
It is hard to believe that there are only three and a half days left. This year has gone by really fast!
I want to thank you, parents, for letting me be your child's teacher this year. You have been supportive of your child and of me as their educator. I have really enjoyed teaching all of your children. They have worked very hard and have shown good growth. You should be proud of your child.
I would also like to thank Alicia, Chantal's mom, for being our room parent and helping to organize all our class parties this year. She has been a huge help! Our End of the Year Party will be on Tuesday, June 5, during lunch at 11:50am in the classroom. Some parent volunteers will be bringing in lunch so your child will not need a lunch on Tuesday.
Wednesday is the last day of school with a 12:00pm dismissal.
Over the summer, please have your child read, write and practice math. Here is a link to the ASD elementary library homepage where you can find online resources for reading. For writing, you could have your child keep a journal to write about the things he/she does or to write stories. For math, your child should play some math games from the game portfolio packet, which will help build his/her fluency. Please help to prevent the summer slide so that your child will not forget what he/she has learned.
This is the last news letter of the year. I hope everyone has a great summer!
