Where Learning Meets Adventure
--- OCTOBER 2019 ---
Community Connections in Orange County
Welcome to the Orange County Community Connections Monthly Newsletter. Here you will find information about the special gatherings we have planned for October.
You will also find all our events in the Field Trip and Events (FTE) Inspire page where you will sign-up and RSVP for each event. Some of the field trips may have a cost. The price will listed in the FTE. All new events open for registration on Mondays at 8:00 am.
We will always keep the teenagers in mind at these events as well as plan some special gatherings just for them (see High School Hangout info near the bottom of this newsletter).
We look forward to facilitating connections, inspiring community, and enhancing the Adventure of Learning!
What is Community Connections?
Each month we will have at least 3 activities, one per week, for families to participate in*. There will be an Adventure Day, usually at a park, with themed activities for all ages the same day and hours each month so you can schedule and plan accordingly. Another week will be an event such as a book fair, Fall/Spring festivals, wax museum, science fair, college and career day, picture day etc.. Lastly, there will be a field trip.
These have all been designed and created with suggestions from YOU, the Community Coordinators, and with geographic areas in mind. Currently we have communities in the Irvine, Yorba Linda/Brea, and Garden Grove areas and hope to expand to other areas in the future.
*Please keep in mind that CC Events are not drop-off nor are the CC staff responsible for supervising students at these events. Parents are responsible for providing supervision of their children for every Community Connection activity, event, and field trip. Families may work together to carpool, but an adult must be present at all activities.
