Answers and Explanations to The Questions Above
#1 Parody
This political cartoon is showing parody because it is making fun of the government and how they think they're always right. When sometimes, the citizen is correct.
Parody: To imitate the techniques and/or style of some person, place, or thing
#2 Exaggeration
This political cartoon is showing how a man that looks like President Obama is feeding more and more money to a man that represents debt. This is exaggeration because Obama doesn't literally spend that much money on nothing.
Exaggeration: enlarge, increase, or represent something beyond normal bounds so it becomes ridiculous and faults can be seen.
#3 Reversal
This political cartoon is showing reversal because the octopus is "killing" the earth but in reality the Earth is "killing" the octopus species because of us humans.
Reversal: To present the opposite of the normal order.
#4 Incongruity
This cartoon is showing Indians in a scene of their normal environment with teepees but an Indian is making an igloo. The igloo belongs in the antarctic where it's cold so there is no reason for why the Indian man is making an igloo instead of a teepee tent.
Incongruity: To present things that are out of place or absent in relation to its surroundings.
