Mrs. Cornell's Class
News for the week of January 21 - 25
Dear Parents,
We will take our mid-year Dibels tests Monday morning. I have taken some time to get students acquainted with the new test they will take which is the Oral Reading Fluency test. We also did a brief review of nonsense words since many haven't taken them since September.
A reminder: This Tuesday is the re-scheduled Two-Hour Late Start.
Next Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students are home as that is a curriculum day, so we will spend some time this week learning about this important man and what he believed and fought for.
The January Skills Checklist can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.
Have a good week! Stay healthy!
Mrs. Cornell

January Skills Checklist
Dear Parents,
This checklist includes many of the topics and skills that your child is working on during the month of January. You will notice our math Home Links correlate with the math skills. Some skills continue from previous months. You can help me in tracking your child’s progress by using and returning this checklist at the end of the month. When you feel that your child has mastered a skill, check on the line. Not all lines need to be checked off to return the sheet to school. Thank you for all of your extra help working with your child at home.
Sincerely, Mrs. Cornell
