Parent Organizations
If you're a parent, grandparent or guardian and want to get involved with a parent organization contact your school to get connected.
Migrant-Bilingual PAC Meeting
PAC parent leaders wore purple t-shirts that said "Si Podemos" (Yes We Can) on the front. This team of dedicated parents worked alongside the District Special Programs staff to host the meeting. Attendees enjoyed music, food, academic information, and the opportunity to visit with family advocates and other community services.
Also in attendance was school board president Sunny Hemphill and board members, Dr. Michele Sandberg and Laura Jaecks. All three utilized the translation headsets to hear the all Spanish meetings in English.
Student Voice Matters
Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, the Wenatchee School Board and administration committed to holding Community Conversations series to help the Board listen and understand the underlying values, concerns, and priorities of district residents, school families, and students. The Board and administration can use feedback and data collected during these conversations to aid future planning efforts and policy.
The Community Conversations series is hosted in schools and local community venues quarterly. The Board and administration provide updates about the District and pose questions about various topics for stakeholder input. These conversations are about deepening the relationship and building a partnership with residents, finding common ground on our core values around education, and having dialogue around important educational issues in our community.
The success of these conversations depends on the involvement of many different voices and we hope you will join us and share your perspectives.
