Traffic Safety Reminders - Please read through the information below to help keep drop-off/pick-up safe and smooth.
Yellow Curb Zone - Erringer
If you are in the yellow drop-off/pick-up line, DO NOT get out of your car.
Students must unload independently from the passenger/curb side ONLY.
The Yellow Zone is for quick drop-off/pick-up. If your student cannot exit the car independently, this is not your zone.
Orange Cone Zone - Erringer
- Kinder drop-off/pick-up - this allows our kinder parents who need a quicker drop-off/pick-up to get close to the kinder gate so our littles are not walking far to the gate. This zone might be for a kinder or younger grade student who needs help getting out of the car.
- Last minute morning meltdown in the yellow drop off zone? Pull forward to the cone zone so you are not blocking the quick drop off line. We know things happen so this zone give you some grace without blocking the line.
- Lunch box dump out in the car while in the yellow quick drop off zone? Pull forward to the cone zone, take the minute you need without blocking the line.
- In the front of the pick-up line in the yellow zone and your student's not there?? Pull forward to the cone zone while you wait for your student so you don't block the yellow pick-up line.
Consider the Orange Cone Zone an area of grace. Need an extra minute? This is your place.

Front of School Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Front Of School Drop-Off/Pick-Up
**Adults DO NOT exit the car**
- Students in grades 1-6 Enter AND Exit Lunch Table Gates ONLY (#2)
- Kindergarten students enter Kinder yard gate (#6).
- Note: Kindergarten students enter lunch table gate in the morning if they are getting breakfast
**The front gate next to the Hollow Hills tile mural will be closed for student entrance/exit. This is based on location of supervision and traffic flow. After school, Kinder siblings should enter the kinder yard at gate #5, the back side of the kinder yard, to pick up siblings. Students can then exit the kinder yard through the kinder gate (#6) with their sibling.
Families who cannot facilitate a "quick" drop-off/pick-up and/or have students who cannot independently exit their car, please park on the street or back parking lot and walk your student(s) to campus.
DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH STAFF PARKING LOT OR PARK IN THE STAFF LOT.
There have been a few adults who drive through the staff lot to double park in the lot, having students walk through the car line and parking lot to get to their car. This is a major safety issue. Please do not drive through the staff lot and/or park (double park) to drop-off/pick up your student.
Pedestrians
Thank you for your consideration of the drop-off/pick-up guidelines!!

Attendance Reminders
Lunch Table Gate: Opens at 7:40am for breakfast.
All other Gates: Open at 7:45am.
The first bell rings at 8:06am for students to line-up. Teachers meet students at their lines and walk them to class for an 8:10am start.
Students who arrive to the classroom after 8:10am are considered tardy.
Students who arrive late to school miss the morning check-in routine and vital instruction from their teacher. This can be disruptive to the class as a whole and cause teachers to have to stop what they are doing to update attendance, lunch count, and repeat instructions.
We do understand that life happens and despite everyone's best effort, sometimes students are late. The occasional late morning happens to everyone. Habitual tardiness is an issue that not only impacts the tardy student, but the entire class. Your efforts to arrive on time are greatly appreciated!

Golden Bear Grown Ups Invited to Participate in CAREER DAY!
We need volunteers that would be willing to come and talk to our Hollow Hills students about their jobs. We will have tables set up on the blacktop, and you would be available to interact with the students that visit your station. In the past, volunteers have brought displays or items that represent their job. Some also like bringing stickers or other swag to give away. The students love that!
Volunteers for this event must meet the volunteer requirements. Career Day will run from about 11:45am to 1:15pm, but plan to arrive at 11am to set up. Lunch will be provided.
Thank you for helping INSPIRE our next generation with a variety of career paths!
