If you were wondering if somebody was born in a another country how would they become a U.S citizen. They can become a U.S citizen if they take a test.You have to go through a process called the naturalization. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have been permanent residents of the United States for 5 years. You have to speak English. There is one shortcut if you serve in the U.S military become a U.S citizen sooner. The last thing you have to do is take the Oath of Allegiance swearing loyalty to the United States and our Constitution.
