Where did you grow up?
I was born in the Chicago area but moved to Michigan when I was 5. I grew up on an island between Michigan and Canada called Grosse Ile meaning Big Island. But it is really only 10 miles long and 2 miles wide.
Describe your family.
I am the youngest of four children. I have two sisters and one brother who lives in Allen. My sisters live in Michigan and Florida. I have three children, a daughter and two sons. My oldest son, Bobby, lives in DC and is an attorney. My daughter, Emily, lives in Royce City and is rearing my three grandchildren, Logan, Layla and Lynlee. My youngest son, Thomas, lives in Fernandina Beach, Florida and is a chef. My parents are both 88 years old and have 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Family is precious and priceless!
What university did you attend?
I attended Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois.
What are your favorite activities?
Some of my favorite activities are nature trail walking, gardening and sewing.
If you had $1000 to spend on anything, what would you spend it on?
A cruise or a trip to Australia are both on my bucket list!
What is your favorite TV show?
Ha! I love game shows – Wheel of Fortune is my favorite!
If you were not a teacher, what would you be?
If I knew I could not fail at making a decent living, I would shop to decorate model homes.
My highest priority in all areas of life is to know and live as Christ leads me. He is my salvation, my provider, my healer, my strength and my joy!
