Elevated Bits and Bytes

Weekly Update- May 13th, 2022

CAASPP (State Testing)

Our 3rd through 6th graders worked on CAASPP testing this week and did amazing. It was great to see the kids in person and they had some pretty epic games of dodgeball at the end to relieve some stress which was so fun to see!

Your child's teacher(s) will be informing you of days and times for testing so be on the lookout for communication from them. It's also on the Meetups Calendar on the Elevated Website. If you have questions don't hesitate to email or call us.

Also, we have Physical Fitness testing for all 5th, 7th, and 9th-grade students. We are planning on scheduling this around the state testing as well. More information will follow.

Sex Education-7th-9th Grade Families

The 7th-9th grade science teacher will begin teaching sex education over the next few weeks.

We would like to provide parents with the link to the parent resources for the curriculum: Positive Prevention Plus. This is the district-approved curriculum for sex education.

The teacher is planning to teach the same information at the same time for all grade levels. The unit is 3 weeks and students will be back to "regular" science after they've completed the curriculum.

Students will need to pick up a workbook for the sex education curriculum at the Elevated office.

If you choose your opt your child out of Sex Education, please complete the form HERE.
