In the library, we have been talking about different book programs and resources we can use to connect to GREAT BOOKS in a variety of ways and connect to reading in the classroom, in the LRC, and outside of school!

Kinder-Kids

Activities & Tools we have been engaging with:

  • Logging in and out of Chromebooks and web applications independently
  • Navigating the school website
  • Accessing and using Bookmarks
  • Creating "Missing Posters" in Wixie to help in the hunt for our missing Gingerbread Man
  • Creating Holiday Cards in Wixie


Concepts we have been engaging with:

  • Color recognition and using color words
  • Literacy skills (using pictures/stickers and words to share information)
  • Creating for a purpose (to find the Gingebread Man & to spread holiday cheer!)

Friends of First Grade

Activities & Tools we have been engaging with:

  • Typing and formatting friendly emails to Santa
  • Inserting images in emails to Santa
  • Using photos, stickers, and drawing to "Elf Ourselves" in Wixie

  • Practicing good writing (spelling, punctuation, and capitals)

  • Creativity and freedom of expression
  • Sharing documents with others (like Santa!)

Super Second Grade
