Washington Elementary School
Washington Elementary School Mission Statement
At Washington Elementary School, we foster a student-centered community where all students are inspired to discover their own passions, accept and appreciate the differences in one another, and make reflective and responsible choices that will make the world a better place.
A Note from the Office
Thank you families for your support during these first few weeks of school. In my 20 years in education, this has been the most challenging start to any school year. The staff at Washington has worked around the clock (literally) to try and make remote learning as efficient and engaging for our students. It is only in collaboration with our families that we have been able to make remote learning work.
On October 19th, the Edison Public Schools will be entering in to a hybrid model of learning. About 36% our students will be returning to in person learning. Our teachers will be in their classrooms attending to both the in person students and those who will continue learning remotely. Those students who have selected to be remote, will be eligible to return to in person learning on November 15th. A survey will come out from the District for parents to update their learning preferences.
Thank you for your continued support!
