A Note From Mrs. Mathe
General Notification:
You will receive a general COVID notification anytime there was someone on our campus that has tested positive for COVID.
Classroom Notification:
You will receive this notification if your child is in class with an individual that tests positive for COVID. You may also receive this notification if your child sits close to a student at lunch, in a pull out group, at specials or plays with another student at recess that tested positive. If all parties wore masks at all times, then no one will need to be quarantined and this is the notification you will receive.
Quarantine:
If your child is considered to have close contact with a known positive individual, then you will receive a phone call from myself or our school nurse, Melissa Wiles, letting you know that your child has come in close contact (without a mask for 15 minutes or more) with a known positive individual. You will then be given quarantine instructions and a letter will be sent as a follow up with recommendations from the district.
We are doing everything we can on campus to protect your child's health and keep our school open. I have said this before, but we are grateful that we have made it to January with a few cases on campus. With the number of positive COVID cases in Montgomery County continuing to rise, it makes sense that we are seeing that reflected in the uptick in cases on campus. We are a reflection of the community. With that being said, we want to remind our community about the importance of wearing masks, social distancing and limiting gatherings outside of school. Conroe ISD updates their COVID dashboard daily to notify the community about the number of cases at each campus and in the district.
