The Freshmen Experience....a reflection from Noel Mendoza
My name is Noel Mendoza and I am a 14-year old freshmen (Class of 2022). These past few months at Verbum Dei High School have been an experience that I would never want to forget. I've learned so much in such a short amount of time which is telling of the importance of brotherhood and the academic support that Verbum Dei emphasizes. I have three brothers that have attended and graduated Verbum Dei and they loved it. Not only did they have a great experience here, but their experience has prepared them for life beyond Verbum Dei. That's what I am looking forward to. Verbum Dei has compelled me to be more determined and involved than any other time in my life. I am now in debate club, a Student Ambassador, a tutor for the Urban Compass program, work experienced, Freshmen Class President, and a student athlete. Verbum Dei brings the very best out of me and allows me to perform to the best of my abilities. I am extremely proud to be call a Verbum Dei Eagle and I'm ready to take on what the next few years here have in store for me.
