Spring Break Info for Students

Technically NCVPS does not have a Spring Break because we work with students from all over the state with crazy different school schedules and calendars. As such work is technically due while students may not be working in the course. Students are not required to work in the Spanish 1 while they are enjoying life on Spring break. Please enjoy your vacations; y'all have earned it!!

However, students will have to work a bit harder this week to get caught up.

I will definitely work with you to help you get caught up. Also check out all the old Announcements. They are super helpful and there waiting to help you in your time of need.

Dysfunctional Vocabulary List Links

Some of the Vocabulary Lists in the course are no longer functioning. This issue is a system wide problem and will be resolved soon. In the mean time here is a URL link to all of the Vocabulary Lists for Spanish 1: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B7PQaGcwmji8a2UzeWk1cTNzVkk

End of Course

Remember that the NCVPS calendar is quite different from the Academic Calendar at your local school. The Spanish 1 Course with NCVPS ends May 20th. As such we only have a few weeks left in the course.

**All Quarter 2 work (U5-U8) must be turned in by 5/13/2016 for Traditional Calendar courses to go on your report card. At 11:59 pm on the date above, the assignments will automatically close and any incomplete final assignments will be calculated as 0s.**

**The Final Project and the RLC for the Final Project must be turned in by 5/20/2016 for Traditional Block courses to go on your report card. At 11:59 pm on the dates above, the course will close and any incomplete final assignments will be calculated as 0s.**

Feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns that you may have. Best.

Schedule of Assignments for Spanish 1

Always make sure they are keeping up with the Course Schedule of Assignments. I would suggest downloading it and printing it out to make sure you are completing all of the assignments.

Here is the hyperlink the Course Schedule of Assignments for Spanish 1:

https://docs.google.com/a/ncpublicschools.gov/document/d/1OBCVlCSmKzxzh3xFjC_1FqcEPlMxO-LIZRe6Vgo8y9w/edit?usp=drive_web

Only the assignments listed there will be counted for your grade. The Práctica and Actividades activities are practice and do not count for your grade, although they MUST be completed in order to move forward in the course.

Required Live Class (RLC) Schedule

Required Live Classes (RLC)

The purpose of the Required Live Classes (RLC) is to give students access to their teachers for lessons, Q & A and support in their Spanish classes. The RLC sessions are offered every week at a variety of times. You may attend any session you like. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.

Google Calendar for Spanish 1 sessions:

https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ncpublicschools.gov_fr1ce09olfvme4ramenvl94gd4@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York

Just pay attention to the times, dates and topics:

Remember GS = Getting Started

U1 = Unit 1

U2 = Unit 2

After attending each session, you need to complete a brief reflective assignment.
