A Note From Your Directors
We have our FINAL performance of the school year this week! Can you believe it?! The year has flown by!
Highlights in this newsletter include; 6 Flags Trip being cancelled, Band Pep Rally and Parent Meeting, Private Lesson Enrollment, an awesome video on how playing an instrument benefits your brain and instrument check-in!

DUE TO WEATHER, 6 FLAGS TRIP ON MAY 18TH HAS BEEN CANCELLED! ALL TICKETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE WHO PAID on Monday, May 20th!
Band Pep Rally
Can you believe this is the LAST performance for our Staley Band 2018-2018?! Don't miss it! We will recognize our 8th graders at this final performance.
When: Tuesday, May 21st
6:00pm - Call Time in the Gym for students
6:00pm - Rising 7th/8th grade parent meeting in the cafeteria.
- All parents with students continuing in band are asked to attend.
6:30pm - Pep Rally in the Gym
- All Alumni and any family members who play an instrument are invited to play with us! All music can be found by clicking HERE and scrolling down to "Link to Pep Tunes."
- If your student is continuing in band then we are encouraging all families to take care of new school year paperwork on May 21st at the pep rally. For your convenience we have included links to the paperwork and online store below.
Private Lessons
- We are excited to roll out the official Private Lesson interest/enrollment form!
- By visiting www.staleyband.org/lessons you will be taken to our web page to enroll in lessons.
- If you are looking to begin lessons in the summer then please fill out the form ASAP so you may be matched with a teacher.
- Once the form is completed, Ms. Hoffman will match you with the appropriate private instructor. Each private instructor is officially background checked with FISD.
It is scientifically proven that music makes you smarter!
Instrument Check-In/Out
- All students with a school owned instrument will turn in their instruments this day for the summer.
- If you would like to check out an instrument for the summer then you will need to have a Form 4 and payment on file prior to checking the instrument back out.
- All forms may be found by clicking HERE.
