Classes begin at 7:55 a.m., and students are counted as tardy if they are not seated in class by 8:00 a.m.

Special Olympics

Congratulations to our Special Olympics' athletes for competing in basketball last week at Van Alstyne High School. A huge thank you goes out to the staff and students in Van Alstyne for hosting us and for all their hospitality. We also want to thank our Bobcat team family and students for all of your help in this event process!

Our Bobcat athletes competed against other athletes from Anna, Bonham, Greenville, Gunter, Howe, Prosper, Sherman, Van Alstyne, and Whitewright. The results from a round of competition were:

The Counselor's Corner

KINDNESS CONVERSATION STARTER: When are times that it’s difficult for you to show Kindness? What clues do your mind or body give you that you’re having a hard time practicing Kindness? What helps you practice Kindness even if it’s difficult?

KINDNESS ACTIVITY: Work as a family to assemble a few Kindness Kits to keep in your car to give out when you see a person struggling with homelessness. Let your children help decide what you’ll put in them. Some suggestions include a bottle of water, a pair of socks, a pack of gum or some mints, lip balm, a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and/or deodorant.
