Counselor Update
for Elementary Counselors
WCPSS Represents at NCSCA Conference
We had many wonderful counselors presenting at NCSCA conference about topics ranging from boys groups to academic achievement groups. Our very own elementary counselor, Meredith Crovitz presented on using expressive arts to reduce test anxiety.
National Model is In!
The new National Model portal has been a success. Our team of reviewers are hard at work to provide feedback to all those who have turned in their plans. The portal will reopen in January after the review process has wrapped. At that time, schools will be able to input their results data, work on RAMP, or prep for their 2016-2017 plans.
Feedback through the portal will go out in early January. If you have any feedback you would like to give us on using the portal and the national model process in WCPSS, please feel free to call or email.

Hero Day
Beverly Mitchell at Northwoods Elementary celebrated her annual Hero Day. Students sang songs about heroes. Service members, police officers, and firefighters all came to eat lunch and chat with the kids about their careers. It was a great success.
