Rite-Hite Doors is pleased to share with you, several installation videos using a program called Knowledge Vision. We also plan to release several more videos in 2016. Please feel free to share the video links below with any sub-contractors that may find this material useful.

These videos provide insight to a shortened installation highlighting all the key components, while displaying the page in the Owner's Manual where the task at hand is being performed. These videos can be found in the Rite-Hite Electronic Trunk or through iCloud Connection.

Arthur K. White Award - 2015 (Original Bulletin sent 02-17-2016)

We, at Rite-Hite, are pleased to announce that Applied Handling, Inc. is the 2015 recipient of the Arthur K. White Award! This is Applied Handling’s fourth time winning this prestigious award, having been honored in 1984, 1985 and 1993. This is the 35th year this award has been given to the Distributor of the Year annually since 1981 (see attached).

Although Order Volume is only one criteria in determining Distributor of the Year, Applied Handling excelled in this area. They had an increase in Order Volume to Rite-Hite of 39% over 2014. They exceeded their 2014 performance in each of the Material Handling Group categories. Rite-Hite Environmental Enclosures was up 40%, Aftermarket +18%, Doors +76%, and Rite-Hite Products +37%. Additionally, Applied Handling’s performance was an all-time record!

However, it is not just Order Volume that defines truly great Representative Organizations. Applied Handling prides itself on a tenured strong sales management group, professional sales team, along with quality seasoned administrative and service teams.

The Arthur K. White Award will be formally presented to all of the employees at Applied Handling in the near future.

Rite-Hite Aftermarket & DuctSox Organizational Changes (Original Bulletin sent 02-16-16)

After leading our DuctSox Fabric Air Dispersion business since it's inception, Cary Pinkalla has announced his retirement effective later this year. We are thankful to Cary for his leadership of DuctSox and his many contributions to Rite-Hite in over thirty-five years of service.

Cary has already begun to work closely with Chuck Waugaman and everyone involved to transition the leadership of DuctSox. Chuck will be assuming the role of President, CEO for DuctSox in addition to his role of President, CEO for Rite-Hite Aftermarket, and will lead both businesses through their respective management teams.

Dan Anderson has accepted the position of Vice President, Sales for DuctSox. DuctSox Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers will report to Dan.

Jim Oates will expand his role as Vice President, Sales for Rite-Hite Aftermarket, supporting sales efforts for all Aftermarket products, including Rite-Hite Fans.

Andy Olson will expand his role as Director of Marketing for Aftermarket & DuctSox. Andy will lead the marketing efforts for both companies moving forward.

With everyone's help, we expect a smooth transition and continued success and growth for both DuctSox and Rite-Hite Aftermarket in the coming years.

NEW! - Eclipse Shelter QUICK SHIP Program (Original Bulletin sent 02-15-2016)

In response to requests from our Representatives, we are pleased to announce a new Quick Ship program, effective immediately, for the best-selling ECLIPSE 620G shelter. This will give you the option to purchase set-configuration Eclipse units ("Eclipse QS") at a slight premium with a significantly reduced lead time. This can be an advantage year-round, for projects that require quick turn-around or budget cycles that require customers to "use or lose" capital funds.

Please note the following important features:

  • This is not a configurable model. Order RHEEC Part #620GQS01. Configuration is described below.
  • For orders shipping to North American locations, units will ship within 3 business days upon receipt of order, subject to availability. For orders over 5 units, you must call scheduler Jenny Lugrain to confirm availability. 563-587-6052.
  • For orders shipping to locations outside North America, please contact the International department to arrange shipment.
  • List price is US$4020. This represents a 10% premium for the Quick Ship benefit. Standard discount rates apply.
  • Available in any quantity; no minimum order required.
  • PitMaster is not included in the configuration. When ordering Eclipse 620GQS01 units with PitMaster components, PitMaster and Lip Corner Seals must be ordered on separate lines on the same sales order as the shelters. To ensure you receive similar reduced lead times for PitMaster and Lip Corner Seals, you need to advance each order line to Next Status 500 simultaneously.
  • No variations from the configuration below or products other than the PitMaster and Universal Lip Corner Seals are eligible for this program at this time.
  • Since this is a non-configured product, all units will ship with a standard generic (non-customized) Rep label.

            New Identification Labels on Seal and Shelter Products (Orginal Bulletin sent 02-15-2016)

            Effective on products shipped after March 11, 2016, the Identification Label attached to Rite-Hite dock seals and shelters will be changing from a sewn-on fabric label to a metal tag, depicted below. The RHC number and other information will now be more permanent and visible for much longer than was the case on the previous fabric labels when the order number tended to fade or become worn off over time.

            The new tags are 1-1/2" (38 mm) wide and will be attached during manufacturing to the side pad or side frame backer, whether that is wood or steel. Information on the tag is etched rather than printed or hand-written, making it easier to identify the order number and other information for years to come.

            New Metal Label

            Please note: The new labels will no longer be customized to include individual Representative information, a change that will allow us greater flexibility in managing inventory and make it easier to provide quick response and ship times when required. The Rite-Hite phone number and web address are available on the tags for quick Representative look-up if needed.

            DuctSox Leadership Transition (Original Bulletin sent 01-25-2016)

            Cary Pinkalla has led our DuctSox business since its inception and will be retiring at the end of the year.

            Chuck Waugaman has accepted leadership responsibility for the DuctSox business moving forward, in addition to his role as President of Rite-Hite Aftermarket.

            Cary and Chuck will work closely together over the next few months as Chuck learns the DuctSox business, and gets acquainted with the DuctSox employees, customers, representatives, and suppliers.

            With everyone's help, we expect a smooth transition and continued success and growth for both DuctSox and Rite-Hite Aftermarket in the coming years.

            Renegade HVLS Fan Upgrades (Original Bulletin sent 01-14-2016)

            Rite-Hite Fans is pleased to announce that the Renegade HVLS Floor Mounted Fan is now approved for use in exterior applications.

            Design modifications were made and one model works for interior and exterior applications. The primary changes are:

            1. The overall adjustable height is 10' to 12'.

            2. The base, tower, and frame are shipped powder coated gray and can be painted custom colors in the field.

            3. Electrical components are safely positioned within the tower to reduce exposure to the elements.

            High winds or impacts will activate the internal "shock sensor" shutting off power to the fan motor. The blades will coast until they come to a complete stop. The Renegade ships with installation hardware and is pre-wired and UL listed.

            The support documentation and presentations are now updated to include these changes. Please visit your customers who may be affected by this design change and share with them the many benefits of HVLS Fans! Take a moment to open the photos in the iPad to see some excellent application photos. The Renegade is ideal for break areas, patios, stadiums, parks, restaurants and other large spaces where people gather.

            Thank you for your efforts and continued success in selling the Material Handling Group family of Rite-Hite products. 2015 was another solid year and we look forward to helping you continue the momentum in growing your businesses and territories again in 2016.

            All Material Handling Group Operating Companies have reviewed product pricing and have made necessary modifications based on current supplier costs and market conditions. This bulletin serves as notice of price changes to selected Rite-Hite products. All orders submitted on and after February 1, 2016 will be subject to the new pricing, which will be available in the CAP Tool on February 1, 2016.
