150th Anniversary of St. Louis Parish
I know this is very early, but the 150th Anniversary of St. Louis Parish will be October 2018. The parish is planning events and has invited the school to participate as well. We are currently working on a few ideas that will allow for, and actually benefit from, parent participation. We will update you as soon as details are finished.

Costume Drive
According to the National Retail Foundation, Halloween is a $6.9 billion industry. On average, people spend $74.00 for kids costumes and candy. This cost can be overwhelming for many of our local families. SLS Student Council is pleased to announce that we were able to “treat” 35 kids this year with some amazingly great costumes. Items were sorted, washed, and dropped off at the local food pantry is Batesville, Indiana.
They were grateful for the contribution and Student Council would like to extend their thanks to everyone that participated in our 2017 costume drive.

Cincy Music Series - Concerts For Catholic Schools
Dear Principals and Business Managers,
I regret to inform you that following the Ricky Skaggs performance on Saturday Sept. 23,
the Cincy Music Series has decided to cease operations and has cancelled the remaining shows. It has been a great 10 year run. We have had some amazing shows, met some incredible people, made a lot of new friends and helped out some schools along the way. It has been a chapter that I will always cherish.
We have had some wonderful support from many of you and we appreciate those who have included us in the bulletin notices. That truly made a difference. Our staff and volunteers were incredibly dedicated and I was truly blessed to have so many people willing to give of their time and talent to support our efforts.
We will be sending out the checks from last season very soon. We are reconciling our financial obligations all of the obligations will be met. We will keep you posted.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you over the last 10 years. Not sure what God’s plans are for met yet, but I’m sure I will know soon. We will continue to keep all of the schools in our prayers and doing everything we can to support you.
God Bless,
Pete Ellerhorst
