Dear Eagle Canyon Families,
Are you loving the sunny weather this weekend? I think this is the first weekend we have had without rain for a while. I hope you got to do something fun.
100TH DAY OF SCHOOL
On Monday, Eagle Canyon will celebrate our 100th Day of School with a parade. All students who dress up as 100-year-olds will participate. The best 100-year-old look-alike from each grade level will win a gift card. Parents, if you are available, you may come to watch the fun Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.
SIXTH GRADE
Last week, our sixth graders had a blast at Thousand Pines Outdoor Science Camp. Besides being able to spend a couple of days with them at camp, I loved the excitement our parents had to welcome them home. This was the first trip back to camp for Eagle Canyon since November 2019. I hope it is a memory that our students will never forget.
K12 INSIGHT SURVEY
Chino Valley Unified School District published the K-12 Insight Survey this week. If you cannot find the email you received, there is a link on our school website.
The data from the survey is used to evaluate a school's needs. Please help Eagle Canyon by completing the survey. The School Site Council, the English Language Advisory Council, and School Staff review the results to develop a needs assessment to continue to improve our campus. I will send weekly reminders to encourage a high percentage of participation. We have approximately 500 families at Eagle Canyon. I would love to have at least 250 surveys submitted to ensure we represent our community well.
TARDY STUDENTS
As a reminder, students can go to the amphitheater or eat breakfast in the MPR at 7:20 am. Students who arrive after 7:50 am are considered tardy. Please plan to arrive early to avoid missing out on daily instruction. Traffic from 7:35 - 7:45 a.m. is pretty light, so you may want to try to arrive around this time.

Core Essential January - Knowledge Each month, Eagle Canyon classrooms focus on a Core Essential for the month. Students will have an opportunity to earn a monthly Core Essential award for their classroom. Mr. Armstrong, Eagle Canyon's Counselor, works with small groups of students to provide Tier II and Tier III counseling with a curriculum focused on supporting our students' social-emotional health.
