The Ely Happening

October, 2022

A Message From Mr. Easton

Dear Ely Families,

It is hard to believe that we are already in the month of October here at Ely. The students and teachers have been hard at work over this past month of school. Students have been doing a great job of demonstrating Ely Pride (Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Ready To Achieve) in all areas at Ely.

Last month, we had our first Coffee & Donuts With The Principal. We had a great turn-out for this event. Mark your calendar for our next Coffee & Donuts Event on Thursday, October 20 at 9:30.

At the end of this month on October 31 we will be having our first PBIS quarterly incentive. Students will be able to participate in a Halloween Dance Party with their grade level. Also on October 31 students will be able to participate in a Halloween Parade. For the parade we encourage our parents to come up to the building. Students will walk outside to be greeted by their families in a parade around the outside of the school. Please note the parade will take place outside and parents will not be permitted in the building during the parade.

In November we will be having our Fall Conferences. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher and discuss their progress. Your child's teacher will be sending out information in the next few weeks to schedule a conference.

With the end of the 1st quarter around the corner we are excited to announce that our 1st quarter awards assembly will be taking place. Students have the opportunity to receive a Merit Roll or an Honor Roll based off of their academic achievement for the 1st quarter. In addition, each teacher will recognize one student for the 3 B's Award. This award is given to one student per class who demonstrates Being Responsible, Being Respectful, Being Ready To Achieve on a regular basis.

Please make sure that you are connected to your child's teachers dojo. This will be the quickest and easiest way to communicate about your child with their teacher. In addition, please make sure to follow Ely Elementary School on Class Dojo to receive school updates and reminders.

As always I encourage you to reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns. Together we are going to continue to make this school year "The Best Year Ever."
