SMALL BUT IMPORTANT REMINDERS!
Before School Supervision:
Regular supervision is available for children in Years 1-6 from 8.15am in the undercover area. Please ensure children aren’t here before then as no supervison is available. It that is proving problematic, our outside of school hours supervision facility opens at 7.00am
Getting to School on Time:
As it gets colder and darker in the morning it gets harder to get out of bed! However please make every effort to get to school on time, as it really makes for a much more settled start for all children.
Staff Car Park:
With the exception of those using the Disabled bay to collect children, please ensure children coming in to school from the Williamstown Road side do so through the entrance gate and not the staff car park. This is an active area for vehicles and we want children to be safe.
Kiss n Ride:
A reminder that the area in front of the Parish Hall/OSHC should be free of parked cars before 8:45am so parents can drive through and drop children off safely.
These are small things, but have as their priority the safety and well–being of children. Thank you for your support.
Confirmation Commitment Weekend
This weekend, the 27th and 28st of May, is the Confirmation Commitment weekend. The Year 6 students making their Confirmation along with their families will need to attend one of the masses and hand in their commitment card.

PERTUSSIS
With the onset of the cold and flu season, parents are asked to be aware of the symptoms of Petussis (Whooping Cough). Petussis is a highly contagious, acute, respiratory, bacterial infection. If you child develops a persistent cough and you are at all worried, please see your doctor. Please keep your child home from school in the early stages of any illness as they are likely to be more infectious and transmit the bacteria to others via coughing, sneezing and, contaminating surfaces that others touch.

GET TO KNOW KATHERINE....
What do you do?
I help professional services businesses grow, through sales to new clients, expanding existing client relationships and taking new services to market. I’m a partner coach, regular speaker on the future of professional firms and a lecturer at the WA College of Law. My roots are in the law but I now advise a range of professional firms, including accountants, engineers, consultants and tech companies.
Why did you choose your profession?
I’m one of those strange people who really enjoys working with professionals! I love the fact that my clients keep me on my toes and that I’m constantly learning.
What was the last picture you took with your phone?
A family selfie on Mothers’ Day (see above).
Have you ever danced in the rain?
Must have done. I’m from England, after all, so I’ve done most things in the rain.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
That I’m ‘world class’. Doesn’t get much better than that!
What is your favourite knock-knock joke?
“Knock knock”. “Who’s there?”. “Interrupting cow”. “Interrupting cow wh……...” “MOOOOO!”. Gets a laugh every time.
What was your favourite band growing up?
The Wonder Stuff. Not sure if they made it in Australia…….
What is your favourite family vacation?
New Zealand. Can’t choose between North Island and South. Loved them both.
What is your favourite family recipe?
Lemon drizzle cake.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
Summer in the Cotswolds with my grandparents.
Does your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken?
“If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. My children are sick of hearing me say that!
