Seniors! The EVCF Scholarship Application is Live!
THE EASTVIEW COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2022 IS LIVE! The application deadline is Sunday, January 23th, 2022!
The Eastview Community Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors of Eastview High School (as well to students who live within the Eastview boundaries completing high school elsewhere -such as the School of Environmental studies and home schooled students). All seniors have also received these updates in their social studies classes this week. Be sure to watch the videos below from EVHS 2020 Alum sending their encouragement and advice through the process.
How to Apply: The Eastview Community Foundation Scholarship application process is completed online. The application and more information can be found for Seniors on Schoology → Class of 2022 Group → Resources → ‘EV Community Foundation Scholarships’ folder. More details and the full scholarship descriptions can also be found in on the scholarship page of (www.evcf.org).
If you cannot complete it in one sitting, you may come back and finish if you have fully filled out the first page. You will be able to go back and edit your application, but you will need to reenter the same information you originally entered on the first page. Application review will not happen until after Jan. 23rd. Your application must include at least one essay or personal statement in order to be complete. Please see the documents below for more details about the EVCF scholarships available as well as the application process.
Seniors are strongly encouraged to apply for as many scholarships for which they are eligible.
Deadline
The on-line application must be completed by 8 PM, Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. Late submissions will NOT be accepted. If required, the Student Aid Report (SAR from FAFSA results) and teacher recommendation letters must be submitted by 3:00 pm on Monday, January 24th to molly.wellik@district196.org.

Scholarship Spotlight: MN Association of Counselors of Color: BIPOC Student Scholarship
MnACC is excited to provide college scholarships for students of color in Minnesota. Students who are awarded this scholarship will receive a one-time award ranging between $500 to $2,500 to be used towards their education at a MnACC Member Institution during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Library Research Tools
Free access with a Dakota County Library card or student card. Visit www.dakotacounty.us/library, click “Research Tools” and scroll down to find the name of the resource.
LearningExpressLibrary—Use the search box to type in “Scholarship Finder” and research “over 24,000 scholarships and other awards totaling more than seven billion dollars.”
HelpNow —Get free online assistance with completing the FAFSA. Sign in with a library card and click “Live Tutoring.” FAFSA help is available Monday - Thursday 1 pm to 10 pm. Also, use the “Writing Lab” to get feedback on an application essay.
Student Cards
All high school students in District 196 have a virtual student card that they can use to access the above Research Tools. When prompted for a library card number and PIN, enter 196XXXXXX (where XXXXXX is your school student ID number) as the library card number, followed by your PIN. If you have not yet set up your PIN, visit the Forgot My PIN page to reset it using your 196XXXXXX student card number. An email will be sent to your school email account prompting you to create a new PIN.
Reminder: Attention Sophomores and Juniors: October 13th PSAT Scores Are Available To View Online
Sophomores and Juniors who took the PSAT/ NMSQT on Oct. 13th. Login or create a College Board account online to view your PSAT/NMSQT scores.
Students must create a College Board account, or sign into their existing College Board account, in order to access their score. You will use the same email address you indicated when taking the PSAT. Your scores will also be loaded in your Naviance Student found under ‘About Me’ and ‘Test Scores’.

Park Nicollet's Growing Through Grief Support Group
Park Nicollet’s Growing Through Grief counselor, Jenny Simmonds, will be offering a weekly grief group for Eastview students who have experienced the death of a significant family member (parent, sibling, caregiver, etc.). If your teen is living with loss and you think they could benefit from participating in a grief group, please contact Molly Wellik at molly.wellik@district196.org and we will connect with your student regarding their interest.

University of Minnesota-Share My App Program
The U of M Share My App Program allows applicants to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus to share their application with all University of Minnesota campuses with no additional application or fee. This program was initiated to showcase the opportunities available system-wide and encourage applications to other campuses: Crookston, Duluth, Morris, and Rochester. Within one week of completing their applications to the Twin Cities campus, students will see an optional Share My App checklist item in their Application Tracker where they can fill out a short form to request us to share their application.
Students should keep the other campus application deadlines in mind to ensure they are applying on time and take appropriate steps to apply directly if they are making ???Share My App??? requests too close to the deadlines.
