Language Arts
Last week we finished reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. This is our third and final novel unit of the year and we had so much fun! Throughout this book we worked on many different reading and comprehension strategies including theme, analyzing characters and setting, and compare and contrast (characters). This week we had a mock trial and will take watch the Tuck Everlasting movie to finish up Language Arts for the school year!
Writing
We finished up our writing assessments last week and are working on some creative writing extensions this week. Students are writing "squiggle stories" and using their imaginations to create awesome illustrations!
Science
In science this week we finished up our Sun, Moon, and Planets unit. We learned so much about our universe!
Remember to READ, READ, READ this summer!
Taking time to read with your child will help them build a lifelong love for reading. As Dr. Seuss says, "The more you read, the more you know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go!"
