National Poetry Month

The Robert Frost MS Media Center celebrated National Poetry Month with our very own version of clothesline poetry! Students and staff created poems using the words in the baskets and the "clothespins" on the lines. Everyday brought about a new poem!

Book Wars!

Students from four middle schools came together at Rosa Parks and another four schools came together at Lakelands on April 22nd to participate in the third annual Book Wars competition. Students worked in teams to answer a variety of book trivia questions. This was the first year that there were two "Districts" and a Grand Championship round which saw the top team in each district compete against each other virtually.

Book Wars was a full year program where students met monthly with their teams to prepare for this competition day. Each team member read all 10 core books to prepare.

We are very proud of all our RFMS teams!! It was a very close competition. Our 6th grade team tied for first but lost in the tiebreaker round for District Champion. Our 7th grade team won the coveted spirit award! Overall, everyone did an amazing job!
