Maltby Memo
May 21st Special Edition
~A message from our Principal~
I hope this memo finds you well and happy. It is hard to believe we are going into Memorial Day weekend! As we are ending the month of May, we turn our eyes to the completion of this year and the hope for next year. We are unsure what next year might look like but as we navigate these unusual times, we know we are anxious to enjoy your children next fall!
If you are planning on moving or not attending Maltby next year, please contact our office. We are trying to get an estimation of how many students will be attending next year. Also, if you know of any kindergarteners who are planning on attending Maltby, please encourage them to register. Registration is online on the school district website, however we do have someone in our office from 8-3 Monday through Friday who can assist with registration as needed.
We have many items in our office hallway. There are personal items that have been left by students. We are hoping to have these picked up by May 26th so our custodians can begin summer cleaning and sanitizing. Items may be picked up between 11:30 and 1:30 each day, if those times are not available to you, please contact the office to arrange for a pick-up time.
We have word that yearbooks are on their way! As soon as we have them we will let you know of our plan to distribute them.
Report cards will be mailed home on the 22nd of June. Report cards will indicate what areas were covered from January 29-March 13 by a numeric number 1,2,3,4. A 4 Exceeds standard, a 3 is at standard, 2 approaching standard and 1 not at standard. Some subjects may not have been assessed prior to the closure. Those will be indicated by NA, not assessed. After the closure, teachers will address what was covered in the comments section.
Remember library books are available for check out! Contact Tracy Spahman at spahmant@monroe.wednet.edu. She is happy to put books on hold for you!
Have an outstanding Memorial Day weekend! Our offices will be closed on Friday and Monday and we will be back on Tuesday!
