  • Born to one of the oldest and most distinguished families in New York State
  • Born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York.
  • His parents were sixth cousins and both were from wealthy old New York families.
  • Grew up in an atmosphere of privilege.
  • Went to boarding school
  • Attended Harvard College

  • Became editor-in-chief of the Harvard Crimson Daily newspaper
  • On March 17, 1905, Roosevelt married Eleanor
  • 1910- State Senator
  • Assistant secretary of the Navy
  • Roosevelt had many affairs, and his marriage became a political partnership

ABSOLUTELY! Roosevelt is a president built for handling recessions, which is exactly what we're handling right now. He is a man who gets things done, and the American people of today would elect him in a heartbeat.
