This year, D303 elementary schools are shifting from conferences focused on progress review to a focus on setting meaningful goals. Teachers will be reviewing student work and student assessment data with your child to determine areas of strengths and areas of improvement. Goals will then be set and ideas to reach those goals will be shared with you at your child’s conferences. The role of the teacher, the student and the guardian in reaching those goals will be discussed.
In order for you to prepare for these conferences, please reflect on this school year so far. What has been a success for your child? What has been a challenge? How can you support your child with reaching his or her goals? The conferences will conclude with time for questions that you may have for your child or the teacher.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULING FOR SPECIALS TEACHERS
Special education staff will attend your child’s scheduled conference with his/her homeroom teacher.
If you would like to meet with one or more of your child’s specials teachers, please email them directly to set up a conference time. Many of our specials teachers teach in multiple buildings and this will ensure that you are able to find a time that works for all involved.

District 303 is now offering the opportunity for kindergarten students to order a meal that can be taken home after school. Students will choose items from a menu that will be ordered by their classroom teacher. The meals will be brought to the classroom 15 minutes prior to dismissal. Meals that students select are free of charge as part of the Federal Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) that has been extended through December 31, 2020.

Coat, Hat, Gloves, Oh My!
Hello Anderson Families,
The weather is changing quickly and I want to remind you that we will be going outside as much as possible this year for PE. I need you to send your student with a coat, hat and gloves. Being outside gives us an opportunity to take our masks off and the ability to learn, move and play in a more meaningful way. Thank you
