PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear SFX Family,
I hope your week is off to a good start! Last week, Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Batt, Mrs. Renee, Mrs. Sauber, Mr. Vitale, and I attend the National Catholic Education Association conference that was held downtown. We learned a great deal and even scored a free trial of Tynker which introduces students to coding! Last Friday, 1st-7th Grade had a blast at Field Day. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of fun!
Thank you to the Mother/Daughter Tea committee for putting on a fantastic event this past Sunday. We look forward to many teas to come! Next up is Father/Son Mini Golf this Saturday, April 30.
Tomorrow is School Mass at 9:00 AM, and all this week is the Book Fair. Parent Shopping is this Thursday afternoon from 3:30-7:00. Also on Thursday is the Men's Club Chili Cook-off and Meeting starting at 6:30 PM. This Friday is Field Day for Early Childhood. On Sunday, our pre-kindergarten classes will be sponsoring the 10:00 AM Parish Mass.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, May Crowning, and Early Dismissal Thursday!
Just a reminder, tuition and fees for next school year are due May 1, 2022. More detailed information is included below. Also, be on the lookout for a separate this week regarding next year including calendar and school supplies. The first day of school will be Monday, August 15, 2022.

2022-2023 TUITION & FEES REMINDER
2022-23 Tuition & Fees are due on May 1, 2022 or a First Bank & Trust loan must be initiated on the Tuition Portal. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cindy Bird at cbird@stfrancisxavier.com or 834-0340.

- Application Fee – due with application
- Registration Fee, Clarion Herald Fee, Student Fee, and Class Fee – due within 5 days of acceptance in order to guarantee your spot to be held

SFX School Community,
Tuesday greetings. Below is today's Email Update. Special thanks to Brigette Starr, Liz Rizzuto and all the school moms who assisted with the outstanding Mother-Daughter Tea on Saturday. Thanks also to the 7th graders and Middle School Teachers for the Encore Presentation of the Passion Play in the packed Auditorium on Sunday -- it was awesome.
The Easter Concert is Sunday -- I hope everyone can experience the joy! See also info on the Family School Mass for Pre-K, the May Crowning, various Youth Events, the Parish Work Day, the Men's Club Raffle, the International Food Fest, and a Sneak Peak of the new movie, Roe v. Wade.

A pizza lunch will be provided!
Students will be given a 2022 Field Day t-shirt to wear with athletic shorts and sneakers.
- Students should wear sunscreen and bring their water bottle and a hat.
SPRING BOOK FAIR
The Book Fair is here! Students have been shopping and/or making wish lists to bring home during their regularly scheduled library class this week.
Parent Shopping is Thursday, April 28, from 3:30 until 7:00 PM!

CHAMPIONS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION
Champions of Catholic Education is a program in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for tuition assistance. First Bank and Trust is partnering with the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation to process online financial aid applications for parents applying for tuition assistance through the Champions of Catholic Education. The program is open to families with school-aged children attending Catholic schools, in grades Kindergarten through 12th, within the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The application window will be open from April 9-30.

SUMMER TUTORIAL WITH MISS LEBEUF
Miss Lebeuf will once again be offering summer tutorial/enrichment for students entering 4th-7th Grades.
Registration begins Monday, April 4. The session is limited to 20 students. Please see the flyer and registration form below for more information.

WE NEED COACHES! No experience necessary. Coaches will meet briefly prior to the season opener to pick up rules, rosters and “Coach” shirts. Our wonderful coaches will also receive free water and freeze pops throughout the season!
Team sponsors are needed. Sponsorships are $150, and include your logo on the back of all team and coach shirts. Please send sponsorship money with your child’s registration form. GOLD SPONSORSHIPS are $300, and include your logo on a banner which will be hung near the concessions throughout the season, and on the back of all team and coach shirts.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL REMINDERS
Please continue to follow all rules of drop-off and dismissal:
- Right turn only into and out of the Trimber Yard
- Pull all the way to the right side of the street and put your blinker on
- Left turn only onto Avenue A from Betz Place
- Do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to dismissal
- Hang your name sign from your rear view mirror for the entirety of carpool so that all staff can see the name. Hint: A pants hanger works great!
- Do not block neighbors and business's driveways
GENERAL REMINDERS
- All volunteers must be up-to-date with Safe Environment training and background check. You can take the class or renew online at www.virtus.org.
- Early check-outs are not allowed past 2:30 PM on a regular day or 1:00 PM on an early dismissal day. Please only use early check-outs when absolutely necessary.
- If anyone in your immediate family tests positive, please notify Ms. Dwyer immediately. You can call the school, 833-1471, or email if after hours.
- Students should be kept home if they have any symptoms and their doctor should be consulted. Please do not assume it is allergies or a cold or send them to school after giving medication.
