Battle of Gettysburg

The battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1st-3rd, 1863 in Pennsylvania between Union and Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War. The significance of this battle is this was General Lee's 2nd attempt to invade the North(PA). This battle had the largest number of casualties of the entire war and is often described as the wars turning point. The Union General was Gearoge Meade, and the Confederate General was Robert E. Lee. The Battle of Gettysburg was a Union victory.
