Dear Families,
On 9/24, our 4th and 5th-grade students will be able to volunteer to participate in our Peacemaker Training Program. This is where our older students learn tools for self-regulation, supporting friends, and how to help other students resolve conflicts on the playground. This also builds empathy among our students, supports caring attitudes and an understanding of one another. I'm very happy we can have this program once again on campus now that we are in person. Students in 4th and 5th grade must have parent permission (forms were already sent home) in order to participate in this program. Once trained, students will be on the playground using their new skills to help resolve conflicts that sometimes occur on the yard at recess and lunch.
9/30-10/8 - Minimum Day Schedule
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES 1st-5th Grades
Teachers will be meeting with families for parent-teacher conferences. Your classroom teacher will be reaching out to you soon if they haven't already about scheduling conferences. 1st-5th grade students have a minimum day during conference week. 1st-5th grades will be released at 12:30, 9/30-10/8. Students who ride the bus will eat lunch on campus and depart at 1:00 pm. Kindergarten students already had conferences and will keep their regular schedule.School Site Council
The school Site Council is an elected or selected group of representatives of the school's staff and parents. This team will review, give feedback and provide recommendations on the Single Plan for Student Achievement for the school. They will ensure goals and improvement strategies are measurable based on data. We currently have two parents who are interested in Site Council and are in need of one more parent.
