Summer of Code Kickoff May 16-20
Rutherford County is ready to get our students immersed in Computer Science! There are many opportunities during the summer to code, and we are hosting a week-long Summer of Code Kickoff to give our students an opportunity to code! Check out the website here http://rucoschoolscode.weebly.com/
Also, Dr. Charles H. Apigian, the computer information systems
chairperson at MTSU, will be speaking on May 18 in the auditorium. Email Holly if you would like to reserve a lab to get your kids coding! (No prior knowledge or experience necessary! Holly and/or Carl will be happy to help, too!)
Technology Minute
Watch this week’s instructional technology minute highlighting AnswerPad http://bit.ly/answerpad
The Answer Pad student application is used in conjunction with www.TheAnswerPad.com Deliver and capture data from any device by using a Web browser or the Answer Pad app. There are six different ways to take a snapshot of student understanding in the classroom. For example, the Draw feature allows students to draw their answer or annotate on a customizable template such as an axis or graph paper. In addition, teachers can upload their own custom graphics. With The Answer Pad application, you can connect with your students like never before and adjust your instruction accordingly.
Summer Assignments
If you teach a course with summer assignments, please send a digital copy of the assignments to Ms. Hunter so they can be posted on the website.
