Red Ribbon Week
HHS celebrates Red Ribbon Week this month! Today, Monday, October 23, all ninth grade students will see the Dirt assembly. Actor, Comedian, Speaker and Author John Morello presents his one man show about substance abuse and choices. We will be sending a survey immediately following today's assembly. Please remind your children to fill it out. The information is helpful to us planning for future student events. See more details here about John Morello and the DIrt program.

Night of Conversation to Prevent Alcohol & Drug Use
Why do I need to talk to my child when there isn’t a problem and he/she isn’t using drugs or alcohol? How to start the conversation? How often to talk? What’s the right language? What’s the best message? For some parents, speaking to their children about alcohol and drug use may seem unnecessary. But the fact is the typical progression from substance use to addiction is fast. In addition, trends indicate that the use of pain killers and alcohol can actually lead to addiction, even to heroin. Join in a night of conversation about these important topics. RSVP to Megan James at mjames@somersetcountyymca.org.
