🍎Principal's Message
Hello, everyone! Here we are in the last week of school. Students have school on Monday and Tuesday of this week. They will then go off to enjoy Summer break. This has most certainly been a year to remember! We, as a learning community have not only worked through it, but have thrived in this new world. This is thanks to the diligent work of our staff along with your support.
I wish you and your family a safe and fun Summer! Please let me know if I can be of any help. I look forward to seeing everyone back in the Fall and to our continued partnership in education. Take care, be well, and enjoy!

Remote Option for the 2021-2022 School Year
The Greece Central School District expects to be able to deliver five-day-a-week in-person learning to all students next year. While we’re excited to fully reopen our schools, some families have asked if the district will still also offer a remote-only learning option. Although the NYS Education Department has yet to determine whether remote learning will be permitted or required in 2021-22, we want to be prepared should a remote-only learning option be required.
If your child is planning on attending school in person next year, there is nothing you need to do. To be considered for remote learning next year, you will need to complete this digital form by June 30.
Before applying, you should know that going forward, Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES staff, not Greece teachers, will deliver remote instruction to Greece students through the BOCES Remote Learning Program. Additionally, the program will only be available to students who meet certain criteria. Our acceptance process requires a written medical justification of a COVID-related need to remain remote as well as an academic and attendance review. Enrolled students will receive a blend of asynchronous and synchronous learning opportunities, but secondary course options will be limited. The BOCES Remote Learning Program will have fewer electives and only offer the equivalent of courses needed for an Advanced Regents Diploma. No honors, AP, or dual enrollment courses will be offered.
If accepted through our process, students enrolled in the BOCES Remote Learning Program will be required to remain in the program for the entire school year and cannot return to in-person instruction until 2022-23. Program participants and their parents/guardians will also be required to attend an orientation meeting prior to the start of the school year.
If the BOCES Remote Learning Program is medically necessary for your child, please complete this form and have your doctor fax your request for a remote learning medical exemption to (585) 581-8205 by June 30. Completing the application does not guarantee acceptance. We will notify you of the district’s decision the week of July 19.
