Volunteer Opportunity

Heritage Christian Services and we are looking for volunteers to support our therapeutic horseback riding program. We will be hosting an open house on Saturday, April 6 and would like to invite any interested high school student (and staff!) to come. We mainly need volunteers to assist with the lessons as a side walker or leader. A leader is someone who is in charge of the horse, helping to lead the horse around the ring during the lesson. The leader also tacks/grooms the horse before and after the lesson. A side walker is someone who is walking along side of the horse, sometimes providing the rider hands on assistance. No horse experience is needed to be a side walker, but you do need experience to be a leader.
