Counselor's Corner

Technology High School

Rolling into October...

October already? Fall is in the air and feels really good. I love Fall...the changing of the colors of the trees, the leaves falling, colder/cozy weather (at least in the mornings/nights), and so much more.

I have decorated my office for some fall festivities, which is always fun, so stop by and tell me what you think.

Please continue to reach out to me if any support is needed by any family or student. I am here for you ALL.

I will meet with all the Freshmen in October, Juniors in November, and Sophomores in December. Of course, I will continue to meet with students/parents as needed.

I am going into Senior English classes to get them going on Naviance next week, a program that our district utilizes to help with college and career readiness.

See below for friendly reminders, ATS Opportunity, Mental Health Tips/Resources, SRJC, Dates, Shout Outs, Testing Info, College Resource Chart, Financial Aid Workshops for FAFSA, Scholarship opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.

We are that AWESOME!

Mental Health Tip!

Did you know?

I am not just an academic counselor, but I also assist with Social Emotional? Maybe the word hasn't spread, but I am here for YOU for ANYTHING! Come talk to me about anything, I will talk you through things, listen, come up with strategies to deal with anxiety, etc, and show you some love!

Creative expression. Choose a creative outlet to convey your thoughts and feelings. This could be journaling, writing poetry, painting or drawing, doing photography, dancing, or playing music. The key here is channeling your emotional state through an art form. While some may choose to do this seriously and take lessons, self-taught artists of all kinds also get the job done. And, don’t strive for perfection! Simply immersing yourself in creative arts can ward off adverse thoughts and feelings.
