Bushy Park PTA Staff Newsletter
Leading with Kindness | November 13, 2019
Under the Kindness Tree
Our Kindness Tree is growing and changing. New membership leaves and community partners have been added! Consider asking your students...
How will you be kind today?
- Encourage
- Listen
- Say “Please”
- Compliment
- Say “Thank You”
- Smile
- Help
- Say “Hello”
Then, have them reflect on what they did.
PWNP November: Share the Warmth Update
As of today, we've collected 35 blankets!
The PTA is doing some really amazing work this year and a lot of it is focused on our staff, families and building community.
By partnering with People Who Need People (PWNP), and living our "Leading with Kindness" mantra, we are extending our love and community to others.
Our Community Service Partner People Who Need People (PWNP) is collecting NEW TWIN size blankets during the month of November. Bushy Park will act as an official collection point for donations.
For ease of donations, please visit our PWNP Amazon Wishlist. Donations will be directly shipped to the school by using "Bushy Park Elementary School's Gift Registry Address" for shipping.
Please help us "Share the Warmth."

We're trying something different this month. Instead of there being one lucky staff member, there will be three!

Books with a Past: Book Bank
Compiling a classroom library is no easy task. We know that teachers want their students to have access to robust reading resources without breaking their own banks. That’s where Books With A Past comes in! Set up a classroom account with us so that others can donate funds toward your classroom library. Other people donate money, and you pick the books! Classroom accounts are free to set up and anyone can donate. Your accounts are already setup.
Books with a Past: Bookshelf Sale
The bookshelves are 8 feet tall, 36-39 inches wide and 6-12 inches deep. They're unfinished wood and have either 7, 8, or 9 shelves. The shelves are not adjustable.
Erin Matthews, owner of Books with a Past, is offering them for $75. Please contact her with interest.
