College Funding Webinar
We have been working hard to provide college resources for your family. I am excited to announce that Legacy High School is hosting the College Funding Coach on Thursday, September 29th from 7:00-8:30pm. The presentation will be offered in-person at Legacy High School and live webinar. This event is for any family wanting to learn how to pay for college (Preschool - High School).
The College Funding Coach was founded in 2002 to help families better understand the complex strategies for paying for college and making higher education more affordable. Mark DeBord, from The College Funding Coach is on a mission to help Colorado families pay for their children’s education. This interactive workshop, Little-Known Secrets of Paying for College, teaches parents the rules of the game when it comes to paying for your child’s education.
This is a free educational in-person and web event. Please register by clicking HERE .

Nod App
Dear Mustang Community,
Mountain Range High School is proud to announce Nod, a research-backed app to help you find yourself and your people. Nod is not a social media app but is all about helping you achieve your social goals in real life. In student words… “Nod allows me to think of ways to interact with people that I probably wouldn’t have thought of on my own. It opens more opportunities for me.” Nod is FREE and confidential for all students.
So, how does it work?
Download Nod on your cell phone and create a confidential account with your school email address.
Explore ideas, reflections and testimonials
Ideas: prompts that help you take action.
Reflections: short in-app exercises to process, track your mood, reduce self-criticism, and build resilience.
Testimonials: real student perspectives on social connection
Elevate connection as a core part of your well-being and download Nod to get started.
Click here If you would like to read a Colorado Sun Article featuring Mountain Range High School students and staff sharing the benefits of the NOD app! This app will continue to be free for Mountain Range Students for the entire 22-23 school year. We are currently working with district IT to ensure our new students and freshmen have access to this, this should be completed in the next few weeks.
You can download the app by scanning this QR Code or stopping down to the Mountain Range Counseling office to get a ‘download card’
Reminders on the District’s Attendance Policy
Here are a few helpful reminders on the District’s Attendance Policy:
Absences need to be excused within 2 school days. This does not count the weekend.
Students may be excused for 5 days without a doctor's documentation. This includes vacations, “no reason given”, mental health day, family reasons, weather, and road conditions, along with other reasons. This year, the district has made an exception to allow absences for covid related symptoms. They do ask students to stay home if they are not feeling well. Therefore, these absences will be excused.
Remember that any time your student has a doctor’s appointment of any kind, have the doctor give them a note to excuse that absence. Have your student bring that note to the attendance clerk in Student Relations when they return to school.
Anytime you know in advance that your student will not be in attendance for 3 days or more, there is a “Request for Pre-arranged Absence” form. This may be picked up in Student Relations or the main office. This form is to be filled out by a guardian and signed. It is then taken around to all the teachers to sign and given to the main office staff. This form is then approved by an Assistant Principal and entered into Infinite Campus. These absences do not count toward the 5 days allowed without a doctor note.
Call our attendance line at 720-972-4300 to leave a message 24 hours a day.
