Quarter 2 will begin on Monday, November 16th.
Some of you will continue on with the second half of what are normally year-long classes, and some of you will get new “semester-long” classes for next quarter.
All students will get 4 new “tiles” on their Canvas accounts with links to Google Meets and other classroom information beginning Monday.
~ Coming soon…Starting Monday, November 16th students will be able to host their own Google Meets! Watch Tigard Today and look for an email on Monday with more information!
~Quarter 1 Grade Reports - Please note that Quarter 1 grade reports will not be mailed home. You can view the report card in ParentVue. If you need assistance with logging into ParentVue, e-mail email@example.com. Report cards will be available in ParentVue on November 23rd.
Students will not be issued Fs this semester; rather, students who have not demonstrated a conceptual understanding of the content to earn at least a D will be given a NG (No Grade). Our intent is to not negatively impact a student’s transcript while we are in the middle of a global pandemic. Please contact your school counselor if you have any questions.
~ Orders from Royal T and Leadership - If you ordered merchandise from Royal T it is now available for pick up in the main office. If you ordered a 1Streak t-shirt from leadership it is now available for pick up in the main office. Main office hours - Monday - Friday, 8AM - 3:30PM

Tech Ticket Submittal Steps
Your Ticket is now submitted and joins a queue for someone from the tech team to look into and get back to you.
When a tech representative responds to your ticket you will receive an email. Going forward all you need to do is respond to these emails to continue the tech service.
Once the ticket has been completed you will receive an email that states the ticket has been closed.
Even though the ticket has been closed you can still respond by email to talk to the tech representative that assisted you.
If your problem still persists or you have a new issue please submit a new tech ticket as closed tech tickets do not stay in the que to be worked on.
~Please call the attendance hotline, 503-431-5431 in advance of your student's absence. Please have your student's ID number ready. If you forgot to call in an absence you have 48 hours from the return of your student to class to call in and excuse the absence.

An Important Message From Our PSO
Hello, Parents of THS Students.
Hello, Parents of THS Students.
This is a long overdue “WELCOME”. As an introduction to those parents of ninth graders and all other new students, you are automatically considered a member of the Tigard High School Parent Support Organization (PSO). You may attend the monthly meetings which generally are on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 4:00 pm. Just so you know, the PSO has not had any monthly meetings in this school year thus far so you haven’t missed any monthly meetings. Please consider joining our upcoming meetings, join our board and/or join one of our committees. The PSO provides support to teachers in the form of fulfillment of teacher requests for supplies, subscriptions, equipment, etc. It provides three $500 scholarship to high school seniors. We have hosted staff appreciation events, provided gift cards for Student Appreciation Week. Our fundraising activities also help support the THS Athletic Boosters, THS Band Boosters and a variety of THS departments, clubs and groups.
Last spring, the PSO held meetings over Zoom. One of those meetings was to elect and confirm the new board members but there were no candidates to fill the vacancies. The board approved extending the length of time of the existing board members until the fall (this fall). The PSO is composed of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and the school Principal, Brian Bailey.
Over the summer, the PSO President resigned and the PSO Vice-President automatically became the PSO President. Our PSO Secretary resigned before school started. The first order of business is to hold elections to fill the vacant positions AND replace the President and Treasurer. The PSO President is dealing with immediate family medical issues and many other responsibilities. The PSO By-laws state that an elected board member should not remain more than two consecutive years, unless no candidates step forward for that office, and the current elected Treasurer has been on the board three years.
Our second order of business will be looking for volunteers to coordinate the PSO volunteers, manage the PSO social media, coordinate and implement staff appreciation activities, and much, much more……
Considering the COVID environment, the new board members and others will decide how much the PSO will be able to do regarding fund raising and other activities.
