Clark High School Band
Weekly Update (September 14 - 18)
ANNOUNCEMENTS
This week we plan to begin learning drill for our halftime performances. Our first football game performance is in 2 1/2 weeks!!! It is imperative that students are on time for rehearsals (to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is unacceptable).
- Students must continue to submit their daily self-screening before arriving on campus for before school rehearsals...NEW Covid form for this week below
- Rehearsals start promptly at 7:00 am (students must be in their spot to be called to attention at 7:00 am)
- Rehearsals will end at 8:15 am
Be sure students are up to date with each classes weekly course work. The 6 week UIL eligibility check is this Friday. Students should be passing all courses in order to be academically eligible to travel and participate at games. Students should also check their Weekly Practice Journal in Google Classroom for the assignments for this week on a daily basis.
If you have not submitted your first Family Contribution payment via MTK, please do so.
The Google Form about transportation to/from football games is two weeks past due..link below. We currently only have 87 responses of 145. I MUST have a response for each band family, regardless of learning choices. I have decisions and plans to make in regards to buses, chaperones, meals and general logistics that will be different from years past.
At football games, the band and drill team will be seated on the visitor side of the stadium. No other people will be allowed on this side of the stadium. Students will be assigned seats in the stands that are 10 feet apart to comply with the 10 foot spacing while active. Be on the lookout next week for specific game day procedures and logistics (hence the importance of the transportation form being submitted now ASAP).
School owned instrument user fees can now be paid via Ryco. See information below for link and the form that I must have completed, signed and scanned/emailed back to me. This is for any student using school owned instruments (Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor/Bari Sax, Horn, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion). If a student uses a school owned marching and concert instrument the fee is still only 85.00/year.
Stay well and healthy!
Have a GREAT week!
