Paul Hewson "Bono"
Paul David Hewson also goes by "Bono" is 55 years old and born on May 10, 1960. He had many jobs, he was an actor, singer/songwriter, lyricist, and film producer.
Family Life and Background
His parent were Brendan Robert Hewson and Iris Elizabeth and his brother, Norman Hewson. As a child, his education started at a small protestant Church of Ireland junior school, but continuing on to St. Patrick's Choir School he was unsuccessful and not happy so they as him to leave. But in 1972, at Mount Temple Conprehensize school, he settle in very quickly and well adjust and happy. He soon join the band U2 and got the name "Bono Vox" meaning good voice.
How he became a leader
Started by his Christian beliefs but inspired by Live Aid, the charity World vision. He explained that he was motivated to become involved in social and political causes by seeing the Secret Policeman's Ball, a Tv show in England that raise funds for the human rights, benefit shows.
Influencing Event
He convince Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jesse Helms to increase America's aid to Africa more than fourfold, from around $2 billion in 2000 to $8 billion in 2009, his Global Fund has committed $19 billion to fighting AIDS.
